Bento Boxes

When you are busy and on the go, or if you have kids, you just don’t have time to simply make a whole meal sometimes- but that doesn’t mean your nutrition goals have to suffer for it. Here are some of my favorite things to throw together in a hurry, but are still full of healthy nutrients that will keep me satisfied.

I like to incorporate carbs, fat, and protein for a well balanced box. There are so many options and flavor combos to choose from to create a box you will enjoy!

  • Protein- Boiled eggs, roasted chickpeas, canned tuna, Biltong / Chomp for non plant based, sheep/goats milk cheeses

  • Carbs- Chopped veggies such as cucumber, carrot, bell pepper, snap peas, apples or fruit of choice.

  • Fat- Avocado, hummus, peanut or almond butter

  • Extras- I love Mary’s Gone Crackers due to the high protein and clean ingredients they contain, but Ella’s Flats, SimpleMIlls, or Siete chips are great options as well.
